I ordered the tightly woven buckram. I was expecting it to be hard to see through, but wow... I don't believe the human eye can ACTUALLY see through that AT ALL. When I went to apply paint it was like painting on paper, 100% sight blockage, even blowing and poking the holes from the back did not help the vision at all. I do not recommend getting the tightly woven EVER. |

I bought both of the buckram styles and preferred the tightly woven over the looser version mainly because you don't see the fursuiter's real eyes as much as you would with the looser version. One square foot was enough for the eyes on my fursuit head. The only problem I see with the tightly woven is how much you will be able to see at night. But that's about it really, everything should work out fine since you should always have a buddy close c: |

I cant remember if I bought the tightly woven or loosely woven, but I am glad I bought it here because I couldn't find it anywhere else. |

I bought FS's Buckram when it was sold by the yard, not by squares, so I can't say anything about how the new way of selling it is, but as far as the product itself goes, it's amazing! The holes in it are small enough so you can paint it, and have them not noticeable from a distance, and provide excellent vision! Other buckram I looked at, at a local fabric store had the holes to big, or to small, and was very rough. FS's buckram is very smooth to the touch, and smooth to paint on. I do however, recommend keeping a toothpick or pencil to help keep the paint out of the holes. I was so iffy about buying buckram after seeing what else is considered that type of fabric, I'm so glad I bought mine from here! |
