Q: Are any of your furs REAL?
A: No, all of our faux fur fabrics are 100% synthetic, made from acrylic, modacrylic, and/or polyester fibers woven into a fabric backing. Our furs are very quality, soft, and realistic, but certainly are not the real thing.
Q: Can I pay with a method besides PayPal?
A: Yes! You can pay with many other methods through our site. Here's how:
- Credit/debit cards: Please use Stripe, our other payment processor, for credit/debit card payments.
- Check or money order: Please contact us via email to arrange to use this payment method. You will need to send your check/money order through the mail to the address we will provide you with. Please use a method with tracking to ensure that your payment arrives to us. We assume no responsibility for checks or money orders lost in the mail.
- Cash: We can only accept cash payments in person if you are picking up at our Raleigh location or purchasing from us at a convention.
Q: How long do you take to ship orders?
A: In general, we ship within 1-3 business days. This is for in stock, ready-to-ship products only (faux fur, etc). Preorder items, custom made items, and out of stock items will take longer to ship. Please check individual item descriptions for shipping time estimates. Please note that sometimes all shipments are suspended when we are out of town for a convention or holiday (we're a small team!).
Q: Do you have a physical store where I can come pick up my order?
A: If you live in the Raleigh/Apex, NC area, you are welcome to come pick up your order in person at our warehouse. If you are interested in doing this, please contact me in advance to arrange a time to come pick up your order. Please note that as we are not a dedicated retail space, we usually need at least 3 days of notice to arrange a pickup, and are only typically available for pickup times Tuesday-Friday, 10a-12p. If you need to pick up at a different time, we can't guarantee we will be able to accommodate your request, but contact us to be sure.
Q: Where can I buy a fursuit?
A: We typically do not sell fursuits through FursuitSupplies.com, as we're more of a supplies business. We do offer a few made-to-order and premade parts, which can be found in the "fursuit parts" category.
Q: I never received tracking information for my shipment!
A: We send e-mails automatically with tracking info as soon as a package is shipped. Check your spam folder, or add customerservice@fursuitsupplies.com to your list of accepted contacts to make sure you will receive your tracking info. If you still do not see it within 3 business days of your order being placed (unless it is a product that has been specified on the product listing to take additional time), please e-mail us.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, we ship our products all over the world! International shipping can be pricey and take longer than domestic shipping, but we are certainly happy to ship to international customers. Please be aware that you will be responsible for any customs/import taxes levied on the shipment, as we cannot mark our shipments as gifts or undervalue the items on the customs form. If you are unable to get a shipping quote through the site, or cannot complete your order, please email us for assistance. We do ship to most countries!
Q: I want to buy something that is currently out of stock. When will it be back in stock?
A: This varies depending on the item in question. The amount of time it may take for a fur to be restocked varies, provided they aren't custom runs or something that was otherwise discontinued. We also sometimes experience supplier backorders which can cause things to remain out of stock for longer. Sometimes we can provide more detailed restock information if you contact us via email, but this may not always be possible if we haven't received any info from the supplier. You can also always check in with us to see if we have any small pieces remaining, we're usually happy to check!
Q: How many yards of fur do I need to make a fursuit?
A: We typically recommend 1-2 yards for just a head, 2-4 yards for a partial, and 5-7 for a fullsuit. We typically recommend ordering more than you think you will need in case of any mistakes, and to make sure you will have more of the exact material you used for future repairs or part replacements (such as replacing your handpaws after they get worn out).
Q: Which direction does the pile of the fur run?
