Gray Chinchilla Faux Fur

This high quality and very soft fur is perfect for use in fursuits, especially for shorter areas like faces and paws. Though very similar to beaver fur, it is not quite the same. This fur is a little shorter, arguably softer, and a bit less dense than normal beaver fur. This type of fur would work well for faces, paws, and other areas of a suit needing short fur, since this style doesn't usually need to be shaved. The pile on this fur is about 1/4". 

The main downside is that much like bunny shag and luxury fox, it tends to only come in a very limited number of colors. Another downside is that the backing is a little unusual - still strong, sturdy, and tightly knitted, but rather than the slightly rough and easy to work with backing found on most of our furs, the backing on this fur is shiny and a little slippery (it reminds us of the backing on minky fabric). We recommend ordering a swatch if you're unsure about the backing.

All our furs are offered in increments of either 1 yard or 1/2 yard. Yards average 60" in width. This fur can be used on any part of a fursuit.
